If you can't see exactly what you are looking for or if you are interested in one of my paintings but would like it created in a different colour or size to compliment your decor, just get in touch to discuss your specific details and I will contact you to discuss your specific requirements.
There is no extra cost for creating a commission painting. A non-refundable 30% deposit will be required before I start the painting to cover cost of materials.
Images will be sent for approval, and full payment must be received before the paint can be sent out for delivered.
I love creating large scale modern abstract paintings and for me there is something captivating and majestic about owning a large, unique piece of art.
Every commission I produce is an original, created by hand in my studio. If you have seen a painting you love, but it is not the size you are looking for I can re-create the painting to your specific size and colour requirements.
The Commission Process
Happy customers are what makes creating art so rewarding.
Stage One – Let’s Chat
The process begins with an informal chat about size, colours, budget to determine your specific requirements.
I will require from you a few key pieces of information:
- PAINTING SIZE – and orientation (horizontal, vertical or square)
- REFERENCE IMAGES – of the wall / location of the painting will be hung with measurements (if you have them). This is so I can send you photoshopped images in situ of the finished painting before delivery.
- ART THAT INSPIRES YOU – Think of your favourite paintings that you’d like your commissioned painting to be inspired by
- TIMESCALE – Do you have a date you want your artwork by?
- COLOURS – Let me know colours that you love (and colours you want me to avoid if necessary)
- FRAMING – Will you want your painting framed? I offer several framing options to complete your new painting!
From this I can establish a specific colour pallet and outline brief for approval for your unique painting commission.
Stage Two – Commission Agreement
Once everything has been agreed in a simple commission agreement, I will require a non-refundable 30% deposit to cover cost of materials.
Once received I will order the materials and start the commission process.
Stage Three – Keeping you Updated
Throughout the commission process, I will keep you in the loop with progress emails of various stages of the painting in progress and once the painting is complete, I will send you final photographs for you to approve.
Upon approval of your completed commission you’ll receive an invoice for the final 70% payment. Once received your painting will be securely packaged and arrangements made with the shipping company to deliver the painting at an agreed date. The painting will be delivered by a professional courier, fully insured and a shipping ID will be supplied so you can track the delivery.
Stage Four – Final Touches
I want you to be happy with your artwork, so I include 2 rounds of minor alterations within the proposed quote. This way works to both our advantages in that your commission will be finished in a timely manner and within your budget.
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your commission (this has never happened yet!), you may use your deposit as credit in my online store. This means I am able to make the finished painting available for purchase elsewhere.
