Commissions

British artist Andrew Watt standing over and pouring paint onto a large abstract splatter painting on a canvas which is on the floor of his art studio, the floor is covered in blue tarps with painting tables anvas paintings on the wall and art supplies visible in the background.

Sometimes the perfect painting for your space doesn't exist yet - that's where a commission comes in.

Whether you're working with a specific colour palette, a particular size, or a style inspired by one of my existing collections, I work directly with you to create a large-scale original painting made for your space.

Commissioning an original painting - How it works

  1. Get in touch - Tell me about your space, the colours you're drawn to, your preferred size, and any style or collection that's caught your eye (abstract, seascape, geometric, drip, or spheres).

  2. Discuss the details - I'll talk through your requirements, offer suggestions based on your interior, and agree a size, palette, and price with you before starting.

There is no extra cost for creating a commission painting. A non-refundable 30% deposit will be required before I start the painting to cover cost of materials.

  3. Creation - I'll create your painting in my studio, working with the same techniques and materials used across my collections - layered acrylics, bold composition and hand-applied texture. I will of course keeping you updated with the progress as the painting is created.

  4. Delivery - Once complete, I will send you images for final approval before your original piece is carefully packaged and delivered, ready to hang.

Why commission a piece?

A commissioned painting means a completely unique piece of art, created specifically for your home or interior - not a print, not a reproduction, but an original made with your space and style in mind.
